Cleanse Living!

Yesterday I learned IT IS NOT ONLY POSSIBLE, IT'S REALLY PRETTY EASY TO LIVE LIFE WHILE CLEANSING using Isagenix!

A few weeks ago, when I did my first double day cleanse (no food, Cleanse for Life only), I stayed home, sequestered. After all, I'm emotional eater and I wasn't eating! Interaction with humans should be limited for the sakes of everyone involved. But yesterday as I cleansed and buzzed around town, I realized how much that had changed. Truthfully, when I set my full schedule, I didn't even give a thought to cleansing.

At first I was a little nervous to be out and about, but I'd committed so I had follow through. I decided to just go with it. Armed with my Isagenix Scooby Snacks, a few almonds, cleanse drink and a big jug of water, I headed out for the day.

I started over the hill near La Brea at my friend Sally's. She and Mindy were hosting an event to benefit ARTconnectsLA, an art donation and placement program that enriches lives through placing works of art in public service agencies and non-profits. (http://www.artconnectsla.org/) Additional benefit of heading to this event (besides supporting this terrific charity) was an Isagenix shot glass Mindy gave me!

Then I drove to downtown LA to a poetry reading/writing workshop in the afternoon for Keren Taylor's amazing program, Write Girl (http://www.writegirl.org/). The WriteGirl organization is a non-profit that changes the lives of at-risk girls by mentoring them with professional writers and encouraging them to find their voice and write it out!

By the end of the day, I was proud to have I'd given my time and energy to these incredible service organizations. But I was also happy to get home. Truthfully, I'd have been that way with or without food.

Bottom line is, important lesson learned.

Cleanse Living is not only doable, it's easy!

Wolf Moon ...

Tonight is a wolf moon ... the brightest and closest full moon of the year. Add to that Mars is right next to it ... it's a great time to make a wish! Three guesses what I'm wishing for ...

Anyone else wishing for something special?

More New Shake Recipes ....

Went to a Heartlink meeting at my Isagenix coach Mindy's house last night, and chatted with nutritionist Jamie Leff. (www.jamieleffnutrition.com) She shared some great Isagenix Shake recipes with me. And although a few are higher in calorie than I can do right now, they provide inspiration and motivation .... I'm adapting this one next using water instead of milk! YUM!!!

Mango
1 cup unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk or Soy milk
Vanilla Shake
4 slices frozen mango
1/4 cup ice

E= MC2

In the past week my energy has sky-rocketed. I've literally have been going to bed at 2 or 3 am and getting up by 7. I am compelled (or more like propelled) to get up and get going. My brain is moving at the speed of light. I've got energy like a mad woman. I am accomplishing more than I ever imagined possible in a day thanks to Isagenix Nutrition!

This is a great thing for me. I've never experienced so much ENERGY.

Only one problem, not only do I have more energy, but the Prankster in me has been unleashed. Ahh so much MISCHIEF to be had. LOL! Can't help myself. The Prankster is in my nature. Fair warning to all who are close!

So here's my advice for the day for what it's worth. LIGHTEN UP! And Laugh it up! That's what I tell myself when my heart gets too heavy! Do something random! (see below, not my idea ... but definitely inspirational!)

Remember, things really do want to work themselves out!

Hope today takes you to new heights!

Waves of Emotion

Lately i've been having dreams of raging oceans. Some say the ocean in the dream is the state of your subconscious. I wonder what it means if mine looks like this?

I just know releasing weight and releasing toxins is contributing to this. Today I really wanted to give up. But I didn't. Mindy and Sally helped me get through. I think tonight my dreams will be about and ocean that looks more like this.

I am so grateful to these ladies for their complete support. This is a journey I would not have the strength to do without them. If anyone is on the fence about using Isagenix, I say get off and get started. I'm not promising it'll be easy. But what I am promising is a really amazing team, filled with love and compassion, who give generously of their time and energy because transformation is their passion.

Hope your Friday is smooth sailing!

Roller Coaster!

Yesterday I was a cranky mess, the day before that was bliss. I was starting to wonder if the words 'bi-polar' were the latest addition to my vocabulary, then I realized ...

I AM ALWAYS A CRAB when I'm releasing large amounts of toxins! Yesterday they came from my belly. Lots of stored stress came out. Hence the arrgghhhh!!!

I know this because today, magically, cuts in my stomach started to re-appear! A sure sign I'm losing cortisol-related bloat! That and the fact I woke up again at 6am, inspired to do mass amounts of sit-ups!
For me, this Isagenix journey is a roller coaster ride. I don't know about you, but I LOVE ROLLER COASTERS! Hope you enjoy the ride!

Saw A Rainbow Today

It was stormy in Southern California today, but for a brief moment, the sun came out and produced a gorgeous rainbow.

A rainbow, a symbol of hope, the perfect ending to my first 2-day cleanse. That's exactly how I feel, hopeful and healthy. It's only been a few months and I'm starting to see real change in my body.

I can't believe I'd almost given up! Thanks again to Isagenix and Mindy and Sally!

Seriously, no matter if I win, lose or draw in the Isabody challenge, I feel like I've already won. My life is changing, my body is healing. Nutritional cleansing rocks!

Second Day Dawn

I woke this morning at 4:30, unable to sleep anymore. (Guess that's what a night owl can expect going to bed around midnight.) So finally, after an hour of laying in bed being really awake, I mean hyper awake, with eyes sparkly clear and wide open, I decided to get up and see the dawn.

It was surprisingly dark when I looked outside, but I had faith that light is coming soon. Inspired, I found this painting of cranes at a peaceful lake at dawn. They represent LONGEVITY, which is what Isagenix Nutritional Cleansing is really all about.

Longevity is a by-product of life in balance - the beauty of Yin and Yang. Hope your day is filled with a peaceful harmony!

A Prayer for Haiti

The night before last I lit a novena for everyone in Haiti. I prayed to Mary, Tara, Kwan Yin and anyone else I could think of to aid the Haitian people in this time of terrible trouble.

I asked them to grant rescuers with strength and intuition to find survivors, to allow relief efforts to flow smoothy, to provide food and water and shelter and medical attention quickly to those who need it. Most importantly, to keep peace & hope alive in the hearts of the Haitian people.

Please join in me putting love and light out to all involved.

Big Picture, Little Picture

Sometimes I feel like I've lost sight of my goal.
Then I stop and adjust my perspective.

Words of wisdom for today ... no matter what your aims are -- remember this -- to achieve great things all it takes is the willingness to see from a different angle.

Be grateful, be present and celebrate the beauty in the big and the small.

Blueberry Shake

Today I experimented a little with shake flavors ... I added a few blueberries and a teaspoon of Montana Huckleberry syrup to the Creamy Vanilla Shake and came up with a tasty treat ...

I'm always searching for new recipes to sample and share. If anyone out there has a favorite, I'd love to give it a try!

Better Than Yesterday ...

So even though I got to bed at 2 in the morning, I was wide awake and rarin' to go at 6am today. It's weird how things change when you're putting the right nutrition in your body. Seriously, I'm 180 degrees from yesterday.

It's like a veil lifted. Yesterday, the fact that anyone was breathing bothered me. (Probably because I have an evil muppet that's a total brat in my head. She wants what she wants when she wants it. This evil muppet was in the driver's seat yesterday ... but today she seems to have given up or given in.)

Today, my eyes are opened wider again. I'm seeing more clearly. Life is in sharper focus. And I am truly HAPPY!

Can you believe all this perkiness from me on a Monday?! Yeah, I know, I can't either. The Isagenix nutrition is working.

Thanks for joining me for the ups and downs of this odyssey. Here's some basic guidelines for a happy and healthy week!

Short Temper Today ...

As an emotional eater, my temper has been very short today. Between limiting the coffee and not being able to eat things like Dino's pizza on Sundays, I'm feeling a little cranky.

But that's the price of stepping up to the competition in the 2010 Isabody Challenge.

New Shake Recipes

The time has come for me when the shake routine is getting a little too, well ... routine. Chocolate, vanilla, vanilla, chocolate ... I could feel my tastebuds getting restless.

So today I was at a nutrition and wellness education seminar held at my friend and Isagenix sponsor Sally's house and once again, she and Mindy and nutritionist Jamie Leff shared some amazing tips with me.

First, the coffee ... now I know there's Isagenix purists out there who shun the idea of coffee, but I cannot help being sorely addicted. Me without coffee is SO NOT PRETTY! That said, here's what Sally made for me this morning.

A Vanilla and Chocolate mix shake with a splash of coffee in it. An alternative to my usual mainlining of caffeine. Turns out it was delicious and now I vow to cut back to only one cup a day + coffee in a shake, then gradually reign myself in until I only have a splash in the shake. I'll let you know how that works for me!

Then Jamie and Mindy overheard my dilemma. I guess it's pretty common. After about a month and a half of the same taste ... everyone gets a little satiated. The next thing I know they were both sharing ideas for shake recipes to spice up my life. I came away from the seminar re-envigorated and with a renewed belief that yes, I can win the Isabody Challenge!

My favorite was the Better N Peanut Butter added to a Chocolate Shake. I just had it for dinner and all I can say is YUMMY!!! I drank it down & emailed Jamie right away for more recipes and tips ... So thanks again to my ladies for the undying support! You guys totally ROCK!!!

Isagenix - Above and Beyond

I had the most incredible experience with Isagenix (the company) yesterday.

Mercury being in retrograde, of course my autoship order got screwed up. Two of the products I'd requested didn't come - The creamy chocolate shake and the chocolate wafers (known from now on as Scooby Snacks to quote Mindy). Two of the essentials on my list.

So I called the 877 number and spoke to a lady named Mary. Even though it was 5pm and she was basically out the door, she was still so kind and took the time to help me. Since I'd ordered the products and they hadn't come, I didn't want to pay additional shipping costs -- so I asked her if there was anything she could do about that.

This is the surprising part, and I mean in a good way, not only did she comp the shipping, but she also gave me the Scooby Snacks for free! Mary went above and beyond the call of duty, out of the kindness of her heart.

As if I wasn't already sold on the company, that small gesture sealed the deal! If you're on the fence about using Isagenix, my advice to you is jump in and get started.

Today is the day your life can change for the better! Email me @ lindeylambert@gmail.com and I'll connect you with someone who can help you get started!

Schoolteacher Arms - It's a Phase!

Ok, so the topic for today is the the looseness of my arm skin. Yes, I know that sounds a little gross, but it's something I just noticed and I find it a little shocking, as well as cool, in a scientific sort of way ...

Before, when I was larger, the fat in my body made me solid. But now, the deep cleansing is loosening all the ick! stuck deep down.

The result is temporary (I'm sure) floppiness in my arms. You know, schoolteacher arms! No offense to teachers out there, but this is SO NOT OK for me! Hence the call to really get serious about working out! After looking at my soon to be leaner limbs, I get it ... free weights are my friend! Push ups are my friend! Tighten up those arms, build more lean muscle! Like I said, I get it!

The weird thing is, even though the flapping kind of grosses me out, the reason is totally cool! It means I'm releasing fat! If anyone doubts that Isagenix works, they can come and look at my arms. (vanity prevents me from doing a video demo)

Anyway, I haven't had the courage to measure yet, but I will soon! Ok, so 'soon' means at the end of this month after I put in some serious bicep and tricep work!

Right now I see my lean muscles cutting through the chub! Is it odd I find this exciting? I spent the day flicking my arms ... wobble, wobble, wobble .... wobble, wobble, wobble! Then looking in the mirror at the cuts starting to reemerge!

Yes, I am a twisted girl! But what do you want, I was born and raised in LA! In the mean time, I did a little web crawling and came up with a couple of exercises to tighten up my arms ... anyone can do these using inexpensive freeweights at home. Hope you find them inspiring!

Why Isagenix Nutritional Cleanse? Why the 2010 Isabody Challenge? I believe that, without a doubt, I can achieve my health and fitness goals by using these products.

With the support of Ellen, Mindy, Sally and the Isagenix Company I will be able to engage in watersports without looking like a sea lion shark snack!

Feeling Bland, but Resolute

I know it's new year's and all, and I should be all revved up ... but I'm not. I am SO NOT A NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION kind of a girl! I started the Isabody Challenge at the end of October ... just in time for the marathon of holiday hodging Olympics! (hodging is a sniglet: means eating like a hog!)
And I have to say, this is the first time in years I did not go completely 'hog wild' and gain weight. In fact I lost a couple of pounds! That's amazing considering that everyone around me and on the street is griping about holiday weight gain.

What get's me is the holidays come the same time each year and every year, it's the same food, same temptation, same cycle ...

Einstein said insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results!

I mean, really what do people expect ...

that Santa and the elves will magically take the calories from all the crap they consume and leave a note that says 'merry christmas' it's all free!

No, no, no ... at the end of the day the piper must be paid.

And I gave it up yesterday.

I did my first cleanse of the year and all I can say is ouch!

Mental, physical and emotional turmoil was the cost of all the holiday cheer!

Ellen Ganus says tears are releasing of water ... no kidding. I did NOT have an easy time.

But my point, and I do have one (to quote another famous Ellen) is this ... Isagenix got me through. Today is better. I'm feeling clearer and less polluted, which is always a plus!

In a way I'm resolved about the Isabody Challenge ... resolved that win, lose or draw, I'm finishing. And since I'm committing to finishing, I might as well give it my all. You know, be in it to win it.

Change is a good thing. We have the power to chose ... health, fitness, achieving goals ...

Hope you're however your new year started, today brings something to celebrate!
